A fixed appliance positioned on the lingual surface of the lower teeth, used to maintain or guide lower molar positioning and prevent unwanted tooth movement during orthodontic treatment. It serves as a reliable space maintainer following premature loss of primary teeth, preserving arch length for erupting permanent dentition. The lingual arch can also be used as an anchorage device to support more complex tooth movements within the lower arch.

A fixed appliance that maintains upper arch width, controls molar rotation, and stabilizes the upper teeth. It is commonly used during active orthodontic treatment or following extractions.
